Passport Renewal
Before the renewal passport application, we need to verify the identity date in the SEGIP System. Therefore you need to send a copy the page of the passport’s photo and bolivian birth certificate to the email: [email protected]; once verified the data is verified we can continue the process.
In case of any observations of data of SEGIP system, the data should be fixed with SEGIP, whose processing time is considered according to the type of observation.
Requirements:
The process is personal
- Cover letter requesting the passport renewal. Include contact information, address, telephone and email.
- Present your current Passport
- In case of lost or loss of passport, present the Police Report with a photocopy of the expired passport
- Present your valid identity card (Carnet de Identidad vigente) or original of the birth certificate. (The Embassy can issue Duplicate Birth Certificates, request it in advance, Cost $us 5.00 through money order in the name of Embassy of Bolivia,)
- For minors: the presence of both parents is required with their passports or identity cards or otherwise notarized letter from the father or mother authorizing the renewal of the child’s passport with a copy of the identity document or passport and the birth certificate original of the minor
- Cost: US $ 85.00 (Money Order or Draft in the name of “Embassy of Bolivia”).
- Prepaid envelope with tracking number for the delivery of your passport (from Ottawa to your city)
The process of capturing data at the Embassy is half an hour. The time to receive the passport is approximately 30 days
